About
This Lambswool Scarf in Douglas Modern Tartan is made from the finest quality 100% Lambswool. This beautiful scarf showing true Scottish heritage is ideal to keep you warm in the winter or equally great as a gift for others.
The Douglas Tartan represents the Clan Douglas who were one of the most powerful families in Scotland, and in the 12th century were firmly settled in Lanarkshire. They took a prominent part in the Scottish War of Independence, under Sir William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. Sir James Douglas, the "Good Sir James", who was the Bruce's trust Lieutenant, was killed in 1330 when carrying Bruce's heart to the Holy Land for burial. The English soldiers, whom he terrorised called him "The Black Douglas". From the Douglasses have sprung many famous families. They frequently married into the Scottish Royal family and held many honours in high positions.

Douglas Tartan Scarf Review by Customer
I bought a modern Douglas scarf for a Christmas gift. Delivery was quick and the item even more stunning than I expected. It is beautiful and really good quality so worth every penny and I know my step mum will love it. Just wish I’d bought one for myself too now. Thank you. (Posted on 04/12/2017)
