The Kinloch Anderson Rowanberry Tartan or ‘Rudha-an’ in Scottish Gaelic means ‘Red One’, so this tartan is mostly red with a golden yellow overcheck. The Rowanberry tree is known for its hardiness and ability to survive in the mountains as well as for its long and interesting history. In Celtic mythology it is referred to as the ‘Tree of Life’ and symbolises courage, wisdom and protection.
