Celtic Knot Quillon Sword Kilt Pin in Sterling Silver
Celtic Knot Quillon Sword Kilt Pin in Sterling Silver
About
On a sword, the bar of metal at right angles to the blade is called the crossguard or quillon. The crossguard was developed in the European sword around the 10th century for the protection of the wielder's hand.
This beautiful Hallmarked Sterling Silver kilt pin features a Celtic style Quillon. The Kilt Pin is purely ornamental and is attached to the front apron of the kilt only, positioned quite close to the fringe on the right hand side and about 4”/10 cm from the bottom. This is the perfect accessory to complete your Highland Dress outfit.
Supplied in a satin and velvet lined Kinloch Anderson presentation box.
