Birrell

Birrell is a name which is found at Glandall  East Borders since 1387.  Andrew Birrell is a burgess of Berwick 1449.  The tartan appears in 1819 Key Pattern Books of Wilson of Bannockburn but is mentioned by them in a letter dated 1773.
