Deirdre Kinloch Anderson takes part in the launch of "Scotland's Golf Coast" Tartan at the Pro-Am Tartan Day on the 8th July at Gullane Golf Club, prior to the Scottish Open 2015. The tartan was proudly worn by the team at this event.
Scotland’s Golf Coast Group together with East Lothian Council are aiming to enhance the excellence and value of all the golf courses in East Lothian by marketing themselves together. They commissioned Kinloch Anderson to design the Scottish Golf Coast tartan as their Corporate tartan to enhance their profile both nationally and internationally. The tartan was launched at the Scottish Open, Gullane, on the 9th July where all the officials will wear Scottish Golf Coast tartan trousers. It will thereafter be used for future tournaments and promotional opportunities.
The significance of the colours are as follows: Navy blue, light blue and white are taken from Scotland’s Golf Coast logo, red is taken from the East Lothian tartan upon which the design is based, green and gold represent the golf courses and the sand from the bunkers.
The tartan will be developed according to the wishes of Scotland’s Golf Coast Group.
